The work series “läbi-asumisel (being situated in through)“, that was created in
2018/19 in Estonia and will now be exhibited at Vienna Contemporary 2020,
comprises six glass objects manufactured and assembled with different techniques.
They do not only present the formative influence of gravity and temperature on glass
raw materials, but also trace the gridlines of spacetime along surfaces and volumes,
communicating between the dimensions. The lines draw themselves through -
two hollow bodies (a sphere whose walls extend into its inside to traverse its center,
like a wormhole on the itinerary of hot glass; and a crooked vessel with tunnel walls
retained in the moment of collapsing, allowing for a passageway in which outside
and inside mingle) – two glass powder objects, melted just enough to cohere (one
pursuing a circular grid on a flat disc; the other folding into third dimension so that
the bent lines’ ends approach) – two portals, funnel-shaped (one that draws you into
the world in the mirror; the other into its own grid-patterned walls) --
